Steve Khan was born in Vancouver, and now lives and works in Toronto. He is Black and mixed race, queer and lives with a disability and uses he/him pronouns. Slowly recovering from breaking a pinky finger last November, he is gradually starting to apply
to exhibitions again.
He enjoys using humor to make people feel more comfortable about sexuality, race, and gender. Primarily, a portrait artist, he also works with text, drawing, and video.
A joint Art and Art History program graduate from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, he has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Canada and internationally. He was also a peer juror for the Canada Council for the Arts in 2025.
